Tauwana Gray, 75, of Indianapolis, Indiana, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 18, 1950, Tauwana was known for her jazzy spirit, quick wit, and big heart. Before retiring three years ago, she dedicated more than 30 years of service to Methodist Hospital. A faithful member of Living Water Fellowship Church, she found joy with her hands in the soil, spending summer days planting flowers, tending her garden, and caring for her yard. She is survived by her daughter, Jauwana J. White; her grandchildren, Paris Cannon and Ashlynde Hollowell; her five great-grandchildren; her father, Clarence A. White, Sr.; her brother, James White; and her sister, Kim White. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary E. White; her sister, Linda Stone; and her brother, Clarence A. White, Jr. Tauwana, affectionately known as Ms. Tootie, will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her generous heart, and the countless ways she showed up for those she loved. The love, support, and strength she shared throughout her life will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
