Tania A. Robeson, 65, of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Tania was born January 8, 1949 in Kokomo. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1967, Indiana State University in 1970 and received her Master's degree in 1971 from Indiana State University.
Tania dedicated her life to education, inspiring students for four decades with her passion for learning and love for each of them. Most recently, Tania was a special education teacher in the Kokomo School system from 1985 to 2013 where she encouraged students to achieve their greatest potential and made a lasting impact on many lives.
Tania's love of life and her warm and welcoming soul is her legacy. She is survived by her children, Matthew J. (wife, Kristi M.) Slane and Amy A. (husband, Jeffrey L.) Miller; grandchildren, Mia E., Parker B. and Katelyn M. Slane, Margaret A. and Charles R. Miller; father, Charles E. Robeson; and countless life-long friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alyce E. Robeson and brother, Lance E. Middlekauff.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 29 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street Indianapolis, IN 46260, of which she was a member. Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
