Tama Lynn Lawrence

Hand in hand with her loving daughter at her side, Tama Lynn Lawrence peacefully entered eternal rest on April 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Tama was born on June 8, 1964, to parents Lloyd D. Patterson and Carolyn Patterson (Koors). She walked proudly through life with an open heart and a bright spirit, which shone through in everything she did.

There aren’t enough words to describe how fiercely devoted Tama was as a mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. Her compassion, selflessness, and unfaltering loyalty were the true pinnacles of her character. Tama’s greatest joy stemmed from her family; their happiness filled her cup until it overflowed with love. She never met a stranger, never forgot a birthday, and always had a smile on her face. Tama was truly magnetic, and the rock of her family.

Tama’s love wasn’t limited to people, it also extended to animals. In fact, her best friend was an adorable black Frenchie named Rudy (who was initially Jackie’s own dog). They were inseparable, and when Rudy passed, Tama kept his keepsakes on her bedside. She also made friends with the squirrels in the neighborhood, a trait she surely inherited from her late father.

Tama’s boundless kindness and persevering spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her.

Tama is preceded in death by her father, and her beloved dog Rudy.

Tama is survived by her mother; her daughter Jackie Mahjoub (Samer); her son Justin Lawrence (Pam); brothers Randy Patterson and Daniel Patterson; and her beloved grandchildren Emery Lawrence, Aubrielle Lawrence, Ameen Mahjoub, and Laila Mahjoub.
