Sylvia Elena Rutherford-Huntsman, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 at the age of 74. She was a proud Puerto Rican born in Bronx, NY. on August 13, 1950.

Sylvia and her loving husband, Butch, were married for 40 years. She has two sons, Eric (Rachel), and Chuck (Jennifer), and two stepdaughters, Shellie (Greg) and Robin. Sylivia also has 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She loved spending time with all of them. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Survivors also include her mother, Fanny, sisters Eloise and Gladys, many nieces and nephews, and her special niece Lizzette Sierra. She was preceded in death by her sister Naomi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan - Decatur Township (5463 Kentucky Ave.) from 2pm-4pm. Funeral Service will begin at 4pm.
