Suzette D. Disborough

Suzette (Susie) Diane Avery Disborough, age 75, of Fairland, Indiana (IN), passed away peacefully, in her home on October 12, 2023.  She was surrounded by her devoted and loving family. Susie came into this world on December 22, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN.  She was the daughter of Kermeth and Rosalyn (Rosie) Avery. Susie was preceded in death by her parents Kermeth and Rosie Avery, and her sister Patricia (Pat) Avery Samuels and her husband Steve Samuels.  

Susie was raised in Indianapolis, IN and was a graduate of Arlington High School. Susie was a Beautician for many years.  She was married to her first love, Steve, and lived a long, love-filled marriage of 55 years. Susie and Steve moved to New Palestine, IN to raise their family, where they lived for nearly 20 years before moving to their forever dream home in Fairland, IN. She is survived by her three daughters and their families: Dawn Sullivan (Fairland, IN), Christy and Ben Rogers (Normal, IL), and Carey and Tim Ross (Fairland, IN). She was the proud and loving grandmother of seven grandchildren who still hold her heart: Lucas, Kenzie, Madison, Mason, Shawn, Ellie and Aiden. She is also survived by sister-in-law Barbara Disborough and nephew Scott (Kim) Samuels. 

Susie enjoyed traveling with Steve, playing golf and cards, and spending time with family and friends. Susie always put everyone before herself and took great pride in her home and her family.  She was known for her selfless sharing with those who surrounded her. 

A celebration of her life will be held on a later date. May we find peace in family and memories.  Susie will be greatly missed.
