Suzanne Apple, 86, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Paul and Bess (Tucker) Delbauve. She graduated from Howe High School in 1954 and continued her studies at Indiana University. While in Bloomington, she enjoyed spending time with her Alpha Phi sorority sisters and the love of her life, Dean.
Suzanne worked for TWA for several years and was a member of Starlighters, Wings (an auxiliary group that supported the Indianapolis Ballet), the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (St. Thomas, USVI), as well as a board member of the Indianapolis City Ballet and president of Beta Beta Latreian.
As an avid dancer, Suzanne was a student of ballet for over 70 years. She performed in Damn Yankees (St. Thomas, USVI) and The Nutcracker (Butler’s Jordan School of Ballet and Music). She also had a passion for ice skating and performed in the Indianapolis Times Ice-o-Rama skating show for years. She completed her silver in ice dancing and was working toward her gold. In addition, she was a member of Oceana, the Indiana University synchronized swimming group.
She enjoyed traveling, living in the U.S. Virgin Islands and spending time with her soul mate and husband, Dean, of 65 years, her three children and four grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Dean Apple; her children, Kim Kiley (Kevin); Brad Apple (Brenda); and Tamara Haubry (Mark); along with four grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin Kiley and Joshua and Matthew Haubry.
Services will be held on June 2, 2023 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist (10350 Glaser Way, Fishers IN 46037). Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 with funeral mass at 11:00.
