Susie Mae Cunningham

June 3, 1934 — August 22, 2025

Mrs. Susie Mae Cunningham was born to Mr. and Mrs. John E. McCleod on June 3, 1934, in Shubuta, Mississippi.

Susie confessed Christ and was baptized at a young age. She was a devoted member of New Fellowship Church of Indianapolis, Indiana.

There she attended service regularly and always loved her church and its members as family.

She was married to Reverend Sharper T. Cunningham, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 7, 2009. To this union was born, Sharper T. Cunningham, Jr., Darlene L. Cunningham, and John A. Cunningham.

Along with being a devoted Christian, Mrs. Susie Mae Cunninham, taught in the IPS school system for over 30 years. Her character was a direct reflection of how closely she walked with the Lord.

Anyone who came in to contact with Susie can attest to her loving, caring, and self-less nature.

After a traffic accident, she departed this life on Friday, August 22, 2025, leaving behind three children, eleven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
