Susan Kay Hooten

Susan K. Hooten, 81, passed away April 8, 2023, in Avon, Indiana. She was born March 14, 1942, in Connersville, Indiana to Eugene & Hazel (Stark) Koch.

Throughout her life, Susan volunteered at various churches and was lately a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where she also volunteered at their medical clinic.

Susan is survived by her husband Ray Hooten of Franklin; her son Michael Joseph Burkhart of Greenwood; daughters Cindy (Scott) Donahue of Danville, and Debbie (Kenny) Gulley of Cambridge City; her grandchildren Alex (Mindy) Chomel of Connersville, Aaron Dunaway of Connersville, Stephen (Kasey) Donahue of Spokane, WA, and Abby Dunaway of Connersville; and great-grandchildren Zoey and Allie Chomel of Connersville, and Kaiya and Sammy Donahue of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Koch and Hazel Maye King, her grandparents George A. & Ethel M. (Ryman) Koch and Leon & Mary Ann (McCarroll) Stark, and her beloved grandson Samuel Joseph Donahue.
