Susan J. Sanderock

Susan J. Sanderock, 69, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away November 4, 2021. She was born December 12, 1951, in Tacoma, Washington the daughter of the late Carl and Ruby (Jebens) Davis. She married Michael L. Sanderock on October 23, 1982.

Susan graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis as well as from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts. Susan spent her life in local community theaters as both an actress and costumer.  She spent 4 decades making costumes for Edyvean Theater, Civic Theater, and The Children’s Museum, where they regularly had her work on display. When she had time, she worked with several other local theaters and won 5 Encore Association awards for her beautifully crafted ensembles.

Susan always wished to give back where she could by volunteering at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, teaching Sunday School, her son’s schools’ extra curricular programs, and following in her father’s footsteps with the local Boy Scouts’ of America organization.

Seeing the best in people, she will forever be remembered as a gentile soul that raised others up around her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Michael Sanderock; their son, Jonathan (Laura) Sanderock; two granddaughters, Ruby and Evelyn; and a brother, Carl Davis.

• Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road in Westfield, Indiana
• Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6050 North Meridian Street Indianapolis, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
