Susan "Suzy" Beeton Herring
66, of Zionsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 doing what she loved, dancing. Suzy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 27, 1946, the third of 5 children to William Arthur and Virginia Mabry Beeton; they preceded her in death as did her brother, William Beeton, and her sister, Theresa Bean
She studied dance at Butler University in Indianapolis and shared this incredible gift with the Baltimore Ballet, Starlight Musicals, and Dance Kaleidoscope. She married Malcolm Herring on October 10, 1969; they shared 42 happy years of marriage and were blessed with 3 boys, Nathan, Aaron, and Matthew, and 2 grandchildren, Mabry and Emma who all survive. Suzy is also survived by her sister, Barbara "Boo" Shrack, and her brother, Timothy A. Beeton.
For the past 35 years, Suzy called Zionsville home. She was active with the Zionsville United Methodist Church, Stovetop Shufflers, The Walk to Emmaus Community, and the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Suzy was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend; she will be sorely missed.
A service will be held at Zionsville United Methodist Church at 10 AM Friday, August 31, 2012, 9644 Whitestown Rd. in Zionsville with visitation starting at 9 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzy's memory can be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, 2001 W. 86th St. Indianapolis, IN 46260 or the Jewish Community Center Cultural Arts & Education Fund, 6701 Hooverwood, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
