Susan Elaine Archer Middleton (62) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 7, 1957 and passed away unexpectedly in her home on January 13, 2020.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband Spencer Smith, Father George Archer, sister Donna Henson and brother David Archer.

She is survived by her mother Elsie Archer-Kudzinski (Jack), daughter Jennifer Warner, granddaughter Taylor Hannon, grandson Cody Hannon, sisters Paula Lachat, Pamela Wilson((Ron) and numerous close nieces and nephews.

Susan grew up in Indianapolis graduating from Warren Central High School. She enjoyed gymnastics and cheerleading. She loved animals. As an adult she was passionate about her volunteering and fund raising at The Humane Society, activist for animal rights and owning an animal grooming salon. She was also a children’s advocate for the Indiana Family Court. She also was active in political fundraising. She was a longtime manager of Crestwood Village Retirement Center. Susan enjoyed music, being outdoors, and flower gardening.

She loved her family and put them first. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and was proud of their accomplishments. She had a friendly, outgoing, fun personality that gained her many friends. She is going to be missed greatly.
