Susan D. Keene

Susan D. Keene, 76, passed away December 21, 2021 in Indianapolis. She was born to parents Owen & Dorothy (nee Asher) Keene who preceded her in death, as well as her brother Brett Keene.

She graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1963 before continuing her education at Western Kentucky University for her bachelor’s degree. From there, she received her master’s degree from Butler University.

Susan spent many years as a middle school English teacher with the Indianapolis Public Schools before finishing her career as an elementary school counselor.

She is survived by her brother Kevin (Lisa) Keene, niece Hillary Keene, and nephew William Matthew Keene.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Susan’s name to the American Cancer Society.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. She will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery.
