Susan was born on December 4, 1958 in Chicago, IL to JohnE. and Ophelia Daniels. She was the sixth child born to this union.

Susan attended Carver Elementary and Carver High School;she also attended Chicago State University in Chicago, IL.

On September 2, 1978, Susanmarried Lorenzo Cooper. From this union they had 2 sons, Lorenzo Jason, andAlonzo Jonnethan Cooper. All who knew Susan would agree that her children andgrandchildren were her heart and soul.

Susan was raised in the church and accepted Christ in herteens. She embraced the teaching of the church under the pastorate of Rev.Roland Gray of New Bethel Baptist Church. This began her faithful commitment toSunday school and the choir. When sherelocated to Indianapolis, IN., she would attend Eastern Star Church until herhealth began to fail. Her faith and trust in God was an integral part of SusanCooper’s life. It defined who she was as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sharing her faith in Jesus Christwith her friends at the Dialysis center, hospital and her neighbors.

Susan retired from AT&T after 27 years of employment, towhich she held various jobs from 411operater, payroll clerk and technicalsupport for the technicians in the field.

Susan loved entertaining her family and friends, the youngchildren in the community would often call her their grandmother, and sheenjoyed reading to them and babysitting for them. She loved to travel takingseveral cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean and her last one to Alaska.

Susan exchanged life for eternity on Friday, May 13, 2016at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She is proceed in death by her parents, sisters: Virginia Chavers,Vivian Dixon, Diana Daniels, brothers: John Jr., William and Steven Daniels.

Susan leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devotedhusband of 37 years. Sons Lorenzo (Jolene) and Alonzo. Three grandchildrenLorenzo Jr., Faith and Hope. Three sisters; Eddie Mae Williams, Barbara Berry(Eddie), Donna Daniels-Hall, two brothers Pleas and Timothy (Sharon) Daniels.Two brother in laws; Jettie (Jackie) Cooper, Eddie (Indra) Cooper. A host ofnieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
