Susan Blake

Susan “Susie” Blake, 70, passed away on December 22, 2022.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 6,1952 to Anthony and Marie Petzel.

Susie always wore a smile on her face. If she liked you, she liked you for life. She was never afraid to step up and say what she needed to say. Susie was a kind individual and was a huge supporter of racing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Michael Blake; grandson, James Michael Blake; brother, John Petzel; sister, Helen Thomas; nieces, Barbara Stack and Peggy Dietrich; nephew, John Pringle; and sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Family and Lori and Family.

She was preceded in death by her children, Candence Marie and Michael Eugene Blake Jr; parents; and sisters, Louise and Rose; in laws, Eugene Blake, Catherine Blake, and Ellen Kenny.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
