Steven Odell Jones

Steven Odell Jones, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021.

He was born on March 10, 1954 in Portland, TN to the late Roy Odell and Helen Irene (Poole) Jones.  Steve attended IPS #21 and was a 1972 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School.  He worked for 30+ years for Brenntag, retiring as a Foreman.  Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing in Tennessee and Southern Indiana, and loved spending time with his family, specifically his granddaughter and ‘Baby Girl’, Aubrey.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Ashley) Jones; granddaughter, Aubrey; sisters, Kathy Merrifield, Donna Harris and Lisa (Darren) Allen.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol (Kashon) Jones; sister, Rita Kay Jones; brothers-in-law, Michael Merrifield and Steve Harris.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.  Funeral services will take place on Saturday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home.  Steve will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife in Memorial Park Cemetery.
