Stephen Watermeier

Stephen Edward Watermeier 58, of Carmel, IN died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on November 13th, 2013. Stephen is survived by his wife of 30 years, Toni Watermeier, sons Harry and Sam Watermeier, brother Daniel Watermeier and his spouse Roberta Kane, brothers Michael (Pamela) Watermeier, William Watermeier, Gerard (Claudia) Watermeier, sister Maryanne (Joe) Schuier, in laws Pamela (Buddy) Chapman, Jan (James) Anderson, Marshal (Jane) Whitby, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Anicetus Watermeier. Stephen loved the culinary arts, and worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, until he was forced to stop, due to his illness. Stephen was a passionate chef and enjoyed preparing meals for friends and family. He was also an avid reader, and maintained a curious mind until his final days. A very special thank you to IU Health Centers and St. Vincent Hospice for their tremendous care. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Monday, November 18th at 4:00pm. Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., will host a celebration of Stephen's life at 5:30pm. Memorial donations may be made to IU Simon Cancer Center.
