Stephen "Steve" E. Wheeler

Stephen E. Wheeler, 80 of Cicero, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021. Steve was born December 23,
1940 in Indianapolis to the late Harry and Mildred Wheeler. He grew up in Speedway and was a 1958
graduate of Pike High School. Steve graduated from Butler University in 1963 where he was a member
of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and remained a fan of Butler basketball.
Steve was the production manager for Mitchel & Scott Machine Company for 35 years, retiring in 2000.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of Harbour Trees Golf Club. Steve enjoyed traveling with his
wife, spending time with grandchildren and watching them play athletics.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Steve is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia “Pat” Wheeler; children, Kristin Webster and Jeff (wife,
Holly) Wheeler; grandchildren, Jack and Cole Webster, Dane, Tate and Phoebe Wheeler; sister, Harriett
Patterson.
