Stephen R. Rott, 75 of Fishers, formerly of Carmel, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021. Steve was born August 11, 1945 in Decatur, IL to the late Clarence and Nina Ruth Rott. He was a graduate of Purdue University and received his master’s degree from IUPUI.
Steve was an educator for 50 years. He began his teaching career at Cardinal Ritter High School and spent 46 years at Carmel High School where he taught science. He retired in 2018.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon Friday, April 9 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel. A celebration of life service will be held June 4th from 1pm – 7pm at the Eagle’s Hideaway in Eagle Creek State Park.
Steve is survived by his wife, Cynthia L. Kuykendall; children, Jennifer (husband, Kelly) Purvis, Jason (wife, Natasha) Rott, Bryan (wife, Josie) Rott, Samantha (husband, Brandon) Croy and Jason Carrington; grandchildren, Garrett and Seth Purvis, Xandra Button, Bailey Croy, Temperance, Cloey and Willow Carrington; brother, Dennis Rott; sisters, Anna Washington, Nina Babich, Roberta Rott, Catharine Kile.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
