Stephen R. Miller

Stephen R. Miller 55, of Indianapolis, formerly of Washington State, passed away December 4, 2014. The son of Dessa "Dee" Miller and Russell R. Miller Jr., was born on August 27, 1959 in Monticello, IN. Relocating to Indianapolis in 1961, Steve attended Ben Davis High School, graduating in 1977 and joined the US Navy shortly thereafter. He served a total of 6 years. Steve received an Associates Degree from the University of Phoenix in September of 2012, continuing working on his Bachelors of Science in Project Management until April 2013. Steve is survived by his mother Dessa "Dee" Miller, a daughter Shannon (Mark) Grover, currently in Germany, as Mark is in the US Army stationed there; a son Patrick W. (Jacki) Miller of Washington, who is currently in the US Navy; sisters Deborah Miller, Pamella (Alan) Copeland, two granddaughters and two grandsons, two nephews and one niece. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1pm Floral Park Cemetery 425 N. Holt Rd. Indianapolis.
