Stephen Lee Stilwell

Stephen Lee Stilwell, 76, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of February 8, 2022, due to complications of Covid 19 and underlying health conditions.  He was born on January 30, 1946, in Columbus, OH to Charles and Georgie Ruth (Hamilton) Stilwell.

He is now reunited with his wife Sally; his son Jeff; parents Charles and Georgie Ruth (Hamilton) Stilwell; stepmom Lea “Mom Lea”; brothers Thomas and Jon Richard Stilwell; grandparents Hamilton and Stilwell; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  There is a big reunion going on up there in Heaven.

Steve grew up in a Navy family learning the military way of life (Honor, Duty, and Sacrifice).  He would lend a hand to anyone when needed.  Steve worked for Kmart for 35 years as an Assistant Manager to various stores in Ohio and Indiana.  He was a GWRRA Education and Safety officer along with his wife Sally who was also an active member.  They traveled many summers and thousands of miles all over the US and Canada including Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia on their Goldwing motorcycle.  He was a loving husband and a wonderful father.

He is survived by his daughter Amy Jenn Stilwell (Daniel), and brother Charles “Bud” (Susie) Stilwell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. A private graveside service will be held the following day on Tuesday, February 15^th in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
