Stephen G. "Steve" Kiritsis,
83, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. He finally succumbed after a long struggle with dialysis, diabetes and CMT disease.
Steve was born on January 18, 1930 in Indianapolis to George and Magdeline Kiritsis. He was a 1948 graduate of Ben Davis High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Steve worked as a sales representative for a local courier service, making friends all over the Indianapolis area. He was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church in Martinsville, IN. As an ordained minister, Steve traveled the country with prison and tent ministries. He served the Lord with love and passion, which he demonstrated by sharing the word of God with others.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Kiritsis; brothers, Jim and Tom Kiritsis; half- brother, George Urgo; step-son, Sam Caskey; step-daughter, Sondra Fenoglio; 2 grandchildren, Brian and Amy Fenoglio. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Effie Kiritsis; brother, Tony Kiritsis.
Visitation will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:30am, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to either the Prison Fellowship Ministries or the Billy Graham Association; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
