STEPHANIE J. PING
January 4, 1962 - October 8, 2011
Pastor's wife, mother, Sunday school teacher, business owner, philanthropist, Christian. All of these qualities are the legacy that is Stephanie Ping. Stephanie and Phillip Ping married December 22, 1985, and together they embarked on a journey that would ultimately result in one of the largest tree services in central Indiana, Ping's Tree Service, Inc. From their humble beginning, Stephanie assisted her husband in this venture as his equal partner in business. She had no small sacrifice with the responsibilities of wife, home, children, church, and business. Whether it was bookkeeping, learning the latest software until the early morning hours, or actually wielding a chainsaw, no task of Ping's Tree Service was beyond Stephanie's talent, ability, drive and determination. Stephanie stressed the urgency of women everywhere to get the simple, inexpensive Ca-125 ovarian cancer blood test, as ovarian cancer is very treatable if found by this test in it's early stages. The tree service will miss it's owner, Phil will miss his companion, the children will miss their mother, Joyful Manna Baptist Fellowship will miss their pastor's wife, but Heaven has gained a saint of God. Stephanie is survived by her husband, Phillip Ping, four children, Lisa Daugherty, Victoria Valdes, Melissa Dalton, Christopher Ping, nine granddaughters, three grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. W. Dr., Indpls. Services will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2 pm at the funeral center. Memorial contributions may be made to Ovar-coming Together.
