Stella “Tootsie” Maude Waltz, born in Bean Station, Tennessee May 26, 1929, passed away peacefully June 10, 2023, at the wonderful age of 94. Tootsie was a Speedway resident for many years. She was a faithful employee eventually retiring from Coca-Cola bottling company. Tootsie was preceded in death by her parents Hiram Hodges and Irene Long; her only son Michael Lee Kiser; husband Bob Waltz; and siblings David, Marilyn, Billy, Johnny, Norma, Mary, and Carolyn. She is survived by her brother Raymond and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply.
Tootsie’s love knew no bounds. Because of her love for those who would have been left behind and forgotten, her nurturing nature and selflessness were a testament to her character. She never judged and took you for who you were.
Tootsie was a beacon of joy and happiness, always wearing a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Her infectious laughter and positive outlook on life were simply contagious.
Her absence leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever be etched in our minds. We are grateful for the time we had with her, and we will carry her spirit of love and compassion in our own lives.
