Stanley J. Lamerson, 85, of Lebanon, IN died August 26, 2011. He was born in Muncie, IN to the late Victor S. and Ida Ruth (Crago) Lamerson on October 22, 1925. Stan was a graduate of Shortridge High School, Class of 1944, and attended Butler University. He was a proud United States Marine veteran of WWII and the Korean War, and spent 36 days on Iwo Jima.
Stan married Patsy J. Shelton on June 6, 1948. He was a partner in the Clayton Lamerson Insurance Agency, and worked in sales for Curry Brothers. He was also a Service Officer for veterans of Boone County. Stan was a member of American Legion Post 79, VFW Post 931, D.A.V. , Marine Corps League, 5th Marine Division. He was Associate Guardian for Job's Daughters and was past-master of Fidelity Masonic #309 Lodge and was an Eastern Star Past Worthy Patron.
Stan is survived by his wife, Patsy; his daughter Jerra J. Everman Hood (Ron); his son Thomas Lamerson (Julie); grandchildren David, Aron, Justin, Jeremy, Aimee, Caleb, and; and great-grandchildren Arianna, Victoria, Vanessa, Maggie, Penny, Naomi, Justin, and Grayson. Stan was preceded in death by his sister Virginia R. Messo and granddaughter Sarah Lamerson.
