Stanley A. Burr, 69, of Westfield, IN passed away on June 2, 2013 at home. He was born October 11, 1943 to Ralph N. and Elma B. Burr in Pittsfield, Mass. He graduated from New London Central High School in New Lebanon, NY and earned an Accounting degree from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis, IN. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, and retired as an Auditor for the State of Indiana Department of Revenue in 2006. Stanley was also a member of SERTOMA (Service to Man Kind) Carmel Division, and played the trumpet for the Drum and Band CORPS. He had a passion for cars (Corvette's in particular), enjoyed mowing the lawn, boating, and dogs and cats.
He is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Sally, three daughters; Christine Farley, Danielle Burr, Erin Burr, son Robert Hein and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Carol Dawley and Janice Cunningham, both Florida residents.
A memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Friday June 7, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, with a memorial visitation one hour prior to service.
