Stacie Renee Baker

Indianapolis, Indiana – Stacie Renee Baker passed away unexpectedly at her home in Indianapolis on September 7, 2023. Stacie was born to parents Pete and Toby (Sportsman) Washburn in Roseburg, Oregon on March 4, 1980. She was 43 years old.

Stacie graduated from Elmira High School and received her associate degree in accounting from Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon.

Stacie was a fighter first and foremost. Despite several chronic illnesses, she never let her smile go. She loved to talk trash with her family and at the same time, let them know how much she loved them.

Stacie loved fiercely and without apology. Whether that was her wife Ash, or a glitter covered unicorn, she knew exactly what she wanted, and that it should be neon hot pink in color. Lisa Frank was her favorite artist, the Cincinnati Reds her favorite baseball team, and crafting, especially Perler Bead art, her favorite hobby. Her family will deeply and sorely miss her.

Stacie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Warren and Juanita Sportsman, and uncles John, Rex, and Rick Sportsman.

She is survived by her wife, Ash Baker; parents Pete and Toby Washburn; grandparents Don and Debbie (Gresk) Canatsey; mother-in-law Tracy Baker; and her three beloved dogs Bunnie, Spankie, and Fishie.

Services will be held by the family at a later date.
