Stacey Ranee Allman

Apr 21, 1970 — Jun 14, 2026

Carmel, IN

Stacey Allman, a beloved wife, nurturing mother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at the age of 56. Born April 21, 1970, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Stacey grew up with a deep sense of family, warmth, and a genuine love for people and animals. Her life was a testament to kindness, community, and an unwavering faith in Christ. Stacey was the heart of her neighborhood, known affectionately as "Mom" to all. Her home was the vibrant gathering place, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the aroma of shared meals. Stacey’s independent Bible study was her favorite quiet pursuit, and her faith shaped the kindness and patience she showed to everyone she met – whether in a grocery aisle or an elevator, where she had an uncanny gift for turning small talk into meaningful conversation. She delighted in holidays and especially Groundhog Day, which she loved to celebrate because, as she said, “that’s when winter is over and everything is renewed in spring.” She also found simple happiness in cartoon movies, often enjoying them even more than the children around her. Her career as a Fund Representative for the American Funds group showcased her dedication and professionalism, though she had to retire early due to her health. Stacey's generosity extended beyond human interactions to a profound love for animals. She was a tireless rescuer of creatures in need, from fallen birds to wounded possums, always guided by her nurturing spirit. Her home was a haven for many pets throughout the years, each one a cherished member of the family.

Stacey is survived by her devoted husband, Kenny Allman, and her beloved children: Thomas (Isabella) Allman, Shelby Allman, Sabrina Allman, and foster son Mark (Sammi) Powers.  She also leaves behind her parents, Rusty and Anna Rachford of Otway, Ohio; her brother, Rusty (Casey) Rachford of Valparaiso, Florida; her sister, Julia Rachford of Dayton, Ohio; and her sister, Leanna (Mark) Thorndike of North Carolina.  Her in-laws: Tere (Glenn) Schuette, Ron (April) Allman, and Brian (Mandy) Allman.  She is preceded in death by her in-laws Ronald and Anne Marie Allman, her son Shephard Kyle Allman, and grandchild Tyler Allman.  Stacey's legacy lives on in her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the countless lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Fibromyalgia Association to honor Stacey's courageous battle and enduring compassion for others.  Stacey Allman's presence was a gift to us all.  She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, carried in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would also like to send a genuine “Thank you” for the nursing staff & medical techs at St. Vincent who cared for Stacey the last weeks of her life – a special group of people who we will remember fondly; as well as Aaron and Tink for the meals, companionship, and just being there during this difficult journey.

The family is organizing a funeral in Indianapolis, followed by a burial and Celebration of Life in Ohio, near the family farm that Stacey cherished deeply. Details will be shared here as soon as they are finalized.
