Sonja Prater

Sonja Ann Prater 75, of Indianapolis, died August 1, 2015. Sonja was born on March 8, 1940 in Monrovia, IN to the late William and Jean Cox. Sonja worked as a tax preparer for 34 years for H&R Block. She was also a member of the Job Daughters and Bridgeport United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lori Landers-Rippy, a brother Dick, a sister Donna and a granddaughter Ann. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leonard Prater, sons Len Prater, Bill Prater, 5 grandchildren John, Jeanette, Haley, Hope, Gunnar, great grandchildren Sonja, Zeke, and Trinity. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in the funeral center.
