Business owner and devoted Christian, Sonia Caceres’ love of life didn’t come to an end with her death but just temporary rest. Sonia passed away on May 15th, 2024, at the age of 50 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
As a child, Sonia was very independent and fearless, there was nothing she could not do. Sonia immigrated to the United States in her early adult years from El Salvador. She was excited about life and overcame various obstacles as a hispanic women. She married at the age if 20 to her beloved husband, Alfonso Caceres and had three sons and a very desired daughter. Sonia’s pride was in her children and family, whom she cared for with so much joy and passion; she wanted to give them the life that she never had.
Sonia was a people person who loved company. She would have family and friends over for coffee every day she could. She was the kind of person that would give without limitations. She also loved unwinding at the end of the day next to her husband reading the word or watching a series. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality and laugh was contagious to everyone she met. Sonia is survived by her husband, Alfonso Caceres; sons, Harvey Caceres, Bryan Caceres, Alexander Caceres; a daughter, Ruth Caceres; a sister, Lissett De La Rosa; brothers, Jose Tobar Sanchez, Edgar Sanchez, Jose Arevalo Tobar; Mother Yolanda Tobar; father, Hernan Sanchez Melendez and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
