Sondra P. Weinberg

Sondra Weinberg, 83, of Bloomington, formerly of Indianapolis and Livingston, NJ, passed away at home on Saturday, March 21, surrounded by her family. Sondra was born in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Shirley Savadkin on December 9, 1931. She grew up in Miami, FL and attended the University of Florida where she met and married Harold Weinberg, the love of her life. They were married for 56 years. Sondra graduated from Caldwell College and taught 2nd and 3rd grades in Caldwell, NJ for 20 years. She was preceded in death by Harold, her parents, and her brother, Allen Savadkin. Sondra is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Bob Andree, son and daughter-in-law, Brad Weinberg and Betty Routledge; grandsons Casey Andree, Barry Weinberg, Sam Weinberg, and Matthew Weinberg; her niece, Cindy Williams, and nephew, Bruce Savadkin; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Savadkin; her long-time friend and caregiver, Terry Dockery; by many cousins, and by her devoted canine pal, Lucy. She will be remembered by all for her independent spirit, generosity, intelligence, and loving devotion to her family and friends.
