Sondra K. 'Bamma' Thompson

Sondra K. Thompson ( known by all as Bamma) 62 of Beech Grove entered eternal life on Saturday November 1st, 2014. She was born on June 18th 1952 in Louisville KY to William and Joyce Doan. Her spirit will be carried on by her Amazing Husband William Thompson (aka Billy Bob Zeke Thornton) of 34 years. Loving and dedicated children Tonia K. Thompson (Daniel Sawyer), Tabatha & Keith Rudge. Caring grandchildren Drew & Joyclin Sawyer, Cassondra & Samantha Rudge. Beautiful great-grandchildren Landon Sawyer and Olivia Mathews. She also had a strong family support system lead by her mother Joyce Doan and sisters Brenda, Billie Jo, Debbie, Tammy and Lisa. She was the most supportive, understanding and absolute loving wife, mother, and Bamma that anyone could ask for. She lived for spending time with family and her passion was to support her grandchildren in all their activities and always being their number one fan. She was a fierce and loving friend who was dedicated to supporting everyone in the full life that she lead. With these friends she enjoyed bowling on Mondays, laughing at holiday parties and showing off her family. Unfortunately the last 4 years she battled the fight against Breast Cancer, during that battle she showed us all the absolute HERO in her while showing us how to fight for what's important in life which is family and friends.
