Silas Morrow
of Camby, IN died September 23 at St. Francis of Indianapolis at the age of 87. Silas was the son of James and Nerva Morrow of Wayne County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Nelli T. (Lee) Morrow.
He is the father of Silas Rex (Gail) Morrow of Bloomington, Illinois and Stephen Ray (Brenda) Morrow of Greenwood, Indiana and grandfather of Elizabeth Nell Trimpe Morrow and Jamison Rex Trimpe Morrow, both of Bloomington, Illinois. He is also survived by his close friend and companion, Janet Hamilton of Camby, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by ten brothers and three sisters.
He served as a soldier in World War II under the command of General George S. Patton in the "Battle of the Bulge."
Funeral service will be conducted at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Decatur at 11 am Thursday, September 26, 2013, with visitation from 9 am until the service. A color guard ceremony will be conducted at the gravesite at noon at the Bluff Creek Cemetery
