Shirley W. Purvis

Shirley W. Purvis of Indianapolis, IN died May 5, 2014 the age of 68. Shirley was born November 3, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with children as a Preschool Teacher for approximately 20 years. She was also an avid writer. Shirley is survived by her children Jullie Anne Hubbard (Darrell), Terry Lee Purvis Jr. (Sherri), and Kenneth Ray Purvis; grandchildren Jessica Bastin, Richard Bowling II, Jennifer Brown, Shirley Renee Brito, Kenneth Purvis II, Nicole Purvis, Travis Purvis, Ashley Purvis, and Kayla Purvis; great-grandchildren Deasia Bastin, Marissa Bastin, Neyrot Brito, Nasario Brito, Gabriella Estrada, Isabell Estrada, Delilah Brito, Kendra Purvis, Kenneth Purvis III, Kenner Purvis, Alexis and James; Chasity Purvis, Shelby Purvis and Travis Purvis Jr.; and siblings Ruth Eugene Purvis and Joseph Shaffer Hadsell. She was preceded in death by her parents William Joseph and Shirley Mae Hadsell, brother William Bartlo, and great-granddaughter Chelsea Purvis. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 8 at 6 PM with visitation 4 PM until the time of service at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis.
