Shirley Little

Shirley Little, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away March 14^th, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis November 28^th, 1943, to parents William and Betty Durnil. 

Shirley grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. 

On September 25^th, 1961, she married the love of her life, Billie Little. They shared many wonderful years together. Billie passed away in 2002. 

Shirley worked at K-Mart and later worked at Nationwise Auto parts until she retired. 

Shirley was a bright, loving lady who never knew a stranger. She was devoted to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with them, never missing a child’s or grandchild’s school program or sporting event. In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed taking road trips with Billie, and she loved to drive through old neighborhoods and reminisce. Music was always passion for Shirley, especially Elvis. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, and camping. 

Shirley is survived by her four children Theresa Rothwell (Brian), Billie Little Jr., Anita Nichols (Marty), and Deborah Underwood; ten grandchildren Kristen Morphis, Kellie Rothwell, Danielle Marie Little, Peggy Nichols, Stephanie Nichols, Sabrina Nichols, Katrina Nichols, Brittany Underwood, Dougie Underwood and Jordan Gonder; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Billie Little.  

Visitation for Shirley will be Thursday March 21^st, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 11-1pm. Her funeral will begin at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
