Shirley Ann (Michaels) Kershaw, Born June 1, 1932, to Jim and Pearl Michaels in Winfield Kansas, died July 21, 2025, at the age of 93. She grew up in Kansas City, MO and attended Budd Park Christian Church for many years. She married Kenneth Kershaw and had two children, Steven and Linda. Shirley was a musician and artist. She played the marimba, piano, flute, piccolo and enjoyed singing alto in every church choir where she attended. She was a long-time member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a music sorority until her passing. She was willing to share her music talents anywhere and anytime that a piano was present. This even included playing the piano in the Arts building during the Indiana State Fair on more than one occasion.

Shirley was also an avid camper and often commented that she had traveled with her parents to all 48 lower United States. She and her family would spend weeks at Yellowstone with her family, staying at Fishing Bridge campground. Professionally, Shirley became a district manager for World Book Encyclopedia and established many dear friendships over the years.

Shirley is survived by her son, Steven Kershaw (Cheryl), daughter Linda Miracle (David), her Granddaughter Megan Kershaw and great grandson August Nelson, Grandsons Michael Kershaw, and Daniel Kershaw (Carisssa); her two brothers, Kenneth Michaels (Mary) and Richard Michaels (Kathy) and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Allisonville Christian Church on August 1, 2025, at 1 pm followed by a reception. She will be buried in LaCygne, Kansas next to her parents on August 11, 2025, at 11 am.
