Shirley Jean Starnes Mahaney

Shirley Jean Mahaney, 71, Indianapolis passed away February 4, 2013 at IU Health-Methodist. She was born July 17, 1941 in Blythsville, Arkansas the daughter of Myrtle (Powell) and Lonnie Starnes. Shirley had worked 13 years before retiring at Happyco in Greencastle. She was a member of Life Tabernacle Church and enjoyed her family. Shirley is survived by her son, James W. (Mary) Mahaney Jr.; brothers, Lonnie, Billy, James, Deltus Starnes; sisters, Emma Smith, Nellie Mullen and twins Harold Starnes and Carol Scanlon. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Crook. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, with visitation from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
