Shirley K. Easton

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my lovely mother, Shirley Easton, who left us on Friday September 25 2026.

She was second born, June 9 1928, of 5 children- Shelby-Shirley-Helen-Ronald and Carole. Parents were Shelby Cox and Mable (Conour) Cox.

Shirley is survived by daughter Karen (David) Pflum, estranged daughter Susan Dowling, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Richard E. Easton and 2 sons Dennis and John.

She recently resided at Bloom German Church where she made many friends. She loved her Luminary Hospice nurses Rhonda and Theresa.

Shirley is remembered for her generous, caring but spunky personality. She volunteered her time for numerous things-PTA-working at the school library-making prayer blankets for church. Handicrafts was one of her favorite things to do.

Services are Monday, October 5, 2026, with visitation 11 am to 1 pm. Service at 1pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park.
