Shirley D. Aase, 82, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 14, 2011. What a comfort to know that he was waiting with open arms. She was born on July 18, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She was married on December 28, 1946 to Neil Aase and is survived by her husband; her sister Karen Puppe and husband Jan of Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughters Barbara Starr of Fishers, Indiana and Peggy Womack and husband Robert of Westfield, Indiana; grandchildren Carey Starr of Carmel, Indiana, P. Aaron Starr and wife Beth of Westfield, Indiana; Robert Womack (Trey) and wife Ashleigh of Noblesville, Indiana, Neil Womack of Fishers, Indiana and Joshua Womack of Noblesville, Indiana; great grandchildren Layne Starr, Fisher Starr, and Jillian Starr; nieces and nephews. She moved with her husband and family several times – to Billings, Montana; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Indianapolis, Indiana; Kansas City, Kansas and then back to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1973. She enjoyed many things - especially their 50th wedding celebration, their six-week trip to Alaska and the summers spent at Kibby Creek Travel Park in Ludington, Michigan with children and grandchildren.
Most of Shirley’s life was devoted to being a loving wife and mother. Her working years were devoted mostly to serving in the family business. She was of the Lutheran faith since her marriage having been a member of numerous congregations across the country.
