Shirley C. Nusbaum

Shirley C. Nusbaum, 87 of Carmel, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022.  Shirley was born October 31, 1934 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Morris W. and Evelyn Champion.  She was a graduate of Shortridge High School, DePauw University and received her masters from the School of Public Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.

Shirley worked for IUPUI for 30 years, retiring as an Assistant Dean in 1999.  She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and enjoyed volunteering with planning Shortridge High School reunions. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 17 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Shirley is survived by her children, Janet L. Nusbaum and Bradley C. (wife, Julie) Nusbaum; grandchildren, Alena Nusbaum, Anna Nusbaum, Angela Nusbaum, Emily Nusbaum and Wesley Nusbaum; great grandchildren, Kirsten Foreman, Lauren Carter, Brooklyn Carter, Alexis Grice, Ariana Nusbaum, Khloe Fonner and Kason Fonner.
