Shirlene W. Wilkerson Douglas

Shirlene W. (ROOTER) Douglas, 62, Indianapolis passed away early Monday, October 29, 2012 at IU Hospital, Simon Cancer Center. She was born October 14, 1950 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Jerry and Jane Wilkerson. Shirlene was co-owner of Butch's Auto Parts. She enjoyed shopping with family and friends. Her life and love was her family. Shirlene fought a strong hard battle with cancer. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest, God broke our heartsto prove to us, He only takes the BEST. Shirlene is survived by her husband and best friend, Butch; children, Sandy Fujiwara, Patrick Wilson, Charlotte Douglas, Angela Douglas, Brandy Douglas, Robert Douglas ; grandchildren, Aysha Fujiwara, Michael Douglas, Evan Sears, Gracie Waltman, Jordan Douglas, Ethan Sears, Rachel and Russell Waltman; step-daughter, Kayleigh Douglas Hopkins; step-grandchild, Alishia Yerden her parents, Jerry and Jane Wilkerson, of Hawaii; two sisters, Connie and Katlynn Wilkerson; two brothers, Bobby and Jerry Wilkerson, all of Hawaii. Preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and James Wilkerson. Services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park 425 N. Holt Road Indianapolis, IN 46222. Family and friends may visit the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2012 and two hours prior to services Sunday at the funeral home. Services are pending at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Lung Association.
