Sherry Lynn Paul

Sherry Lynn (Collins) Paul , 71, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on October 23, 2026, while returning home from a vacation in Northern Indiana.

Born on November 10, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sherry was the second daughter of Nathan and Mildred (Jamieson) Collins. As a child, her family moved from the near east side of downtown Indianapolis to a country home in Zionsville, where she grew up and graduated from Zionsville High School in 1972. She went on to build a fulfilling and successful career as a hair stylist. On June 7th, 1975, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jeff Paul. Together, they built a home and welcomed two children, Brian in 1980 and Melissa in 1982. In 1990, Sherry fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening her own salon in Zionsville, Salon Eclipse, which she later passed down to her daughter, Melissa, who proudly continues her legacy today.

Sherry had a heart built for caring for others. Even as a young girl, she was known for babysitting the entire neighborhood. That devotion only grew when she became a mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and was deeply intentional about creating unforgettable memories with them. She cherished family vacations, especially trips to Disney World. Her grandchildren fondly remember the Minnie Mouse watch she wore; they loved to touch its face and hear her tell them the time. Sherry also possessed a deeply philanthropic spirit, finding great joy during the holidays in buying gifts and delivering meals to families in need.

Sherry was a friend to everyone she met. Through decades behind the chair at her salon, she touched countless lives. Her warm personality, inviting candor, and vibrant spirit filled every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression and a rich legacy of generosity on all who knew her.

Sherry is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey J. Paul; her two children, Brian C. Paul and his wife, DawnMarie; and Melissa C. (Paul) King and her husband Jeremy; her five cherished grandchildren, Raegan, Marlow, and Bohden King, and Nathaniel Liam-Jeffery and Avery Collin Eugene Paul; her mother, Mildred (Jamieson) Collins; her siblings, Jody (Collins) Hobson, Randy Collins, Karen Collins, and Roger Collins and his wife, Shelley; and several beloved nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Collins.
