Sherry Clowers

Sherry Clowers, 84, passed away peacefully March 18, 2026. She was born November 21, 1941, in Indianapolis. Sherry grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Scecina high school.

Naturally talented, Sherry was an excellent pianist. From an early age, she began giving piano lessons and lent her talents to several churches and organizations throughout her life. Sherry was teaching piano lessons right up until the very end of her life, committed to her students.

Sherry was a loving, independent woman with a warm and joyful spirit. She had a way of making those around her smile and laugh, bringing light to every moment. She cherished time with her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling to visit family. She also had a deep love for animals, caring for dogs throughout her life and taking a special interest in her grandpets. Above all, she was devoted to her faith and was a devout Catholic.

She is survived by her sons: Keith (Juanita) Clowers and Randy (Maria) Gipson and her grandchildren Alexis Clowers, Callie Clowers, Easton Clowers, and Kenneth Gipson; and her brother Michael (Angie) Garvey. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Clowers, sister Michelle Miller, mother Margie Garvey and father Michael Garvey.

Visitation for Sherry will be on Tuesday March 24th, 10-12 pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. Her funeral will begin at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
