Sherrill Lee "Guy" Huter

Sherrill Lee “Guy” Huter, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

He was born on March 16, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Warren Leroy and Frances Evelyn (Frost) Huter. Guy was a 1960 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and worked for Naval Avionics; and retired from RCA after 33 years of service. He was very active in the First Free Methodist Church, and passionately supported their food pantry.  Guy loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary A. (Carney) Huter; devoted children, Christine (Ben) Graber, Tim Huter; and beloved grandsons, Noah, Lucas and Seth.  Guy is also survived by his siblings, Darryl (Sandy) Huter and Kathie (Rex) Payne; along with several very special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation for Guy will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East from 1-3pm, with funeral services immediately following.  Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the First Free Methodist Church.
