Sherley Taylor

Sherley D. Taylor, 80 of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2024. She was born to the parents of Robert and Mae Mellene in Indianapolis Indiana. 

Sherley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a hard-working woman. She held many hats in the food industry putting in 30 plus years in a Red Lobster. Sherley was a devoted Catholic at Little Flower Parish for many years. Sherley enjoyed spending time with her family and watching television in her down time. 

Until we meet again, her surviving family members; sons, Trent, Donnie, daughter Teresa (Clyde). Grandsons; Dustin and TJ. Great Grandson; Jeremyah. Plus, many loving nieces and nephews. 
Along with many lifelong friends and Coworkers especially best friends Fran and Julie. She loved us all so very much.

To those who preceded Sherley in death; Mom, for your family in Heaven...your mother Mae, brothers and sisters. May you all rejoice in glory and happiness. For I know you have missed them so. Especially Dad.


Sherley’s visitation will be held 10-12pm on April 5th, 2024. Funeral service to follow at 12pm on April 5th,2024 at Washington Park East-Flanner Buchanan 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis IN 46229. She will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.



Heaven was in need of a very special Angel. So, Mom it is you! You've been a wonderful blessing to so many people. Miss you dearly already. We will have to find a path to move forward without you for now. So sweet, kind, loving. Thank you, Mom.


A note from your loving daughter: Mom, I spoked to your buddy Claudette...she loves you, told me we will all meet again. Will be dearly missed.
