Shelah Karen Clapp

Shelah Karen (McCurdy) Clapp, 87, passed away peacefully on May 14 at her home in Florida surrounded by family members. “She” was born March 20, 1935, in Indianapolis and moved to St Petersburg Florida 40 years ago.

“She” was an avid golfer and was a past member of the Country Club of Indianapolis and of the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club. “She” was proud to have served as the President of the Women’s Western Golf Association.

“She” is preceded in death by her parents Isabelle and Floyd, her sisters Jackie and Marjorie “Fudge”, brothers Mack and Bob, daughter Sheri and her beloved husband of 42 years David Loy Clapp.

“She” is survived by her brother Bill, 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Shelah will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the CCI’s ballroom.
