Sheila K. Underhill

Sheila K. Underhill, 78 of Mooresville, Indiana passed away April 5, 2023. She was born August 28, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Bill and Ruth (Gardner) Schmidt. Sheila served as an Executive Secretary at the Indianapolis Star Newspaper from 1984-2005. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her family, and was a long-time active member of Valley Mills Christian Church. Sheila was loved deeply by many and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Phil Underhill, whom she married on June 7, 1964, her sons, Phil (Staci) Underhill, Jr., Mike (Lisa) Underhill, her grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as Mamaw, Jaron (Chelsea), Brayton (Jenna), Kendrick, Chason, Kaylen, her great grandchildren, Charlee, Bryce, and one on the way, and her sister, Sharon (Bill) Jurasz. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, 4:00-8:00pm and Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 9:00am-10:00am at Valley Mills Christian Church 5555 Kentucky Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana with the service following at 10:00am at the church. Sheila will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
