Sheila Burris Killebrew was born on June 2, 1954 in Glasgow, KY. After months of suffering from terminal breast cancer, God called her home on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 4:45am at St. Vincent's Hospice Center in Indianapolis.
Sheila worked for the State of Indiana, in the Division of Aging, assisting the elderly in any way she could. Sheila was involved with community, with volunteering for the Mozell Sanders Foundation, American Cancer Society, and Indiana Black Expo Youth Summit.
Sheila was an outgoing person, that enjoyed life to the fullest. Sheila enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson Motorcycle, taking exotic vacations, and spending time with family and friends.
Sheila leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Shayda Killebrew; one sister, Peggy Burris Fishback; one niece, Sylena Renee Fishback; one nephew, Scott Fishback.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Burris and Sylene (Wood) Burris.
