Shawn Mangin, 56, of Noblesville, passed away March 23, 2024. He was born September 30, 1967, in Indianapolis, the son of Charles Frederick and Katherine Louise (Flora) Mangin. He married Cristy Osborn on June 17, 2017.
Shawn graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School and later received his bachelor’s degree from IUPUI. He loved to travel, especially to the beach, writing music, and playing guitars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends, and two rescue dogs, Delilah and June. He will be remembered for his quick smile, immeasurable selfless spirit, and dedication to those in his life. He was a husband, father, son, brother, and friend and will be forever missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cristy Mangin; children, Marissa (Bret) Davidson, Gabriella Mangin, Molly (Sean) Little, Isabella Mangin, and Brian Barger; mother, Kathy Mangin; siblings, Mary Beth (David) Cox and Kevin (Kelly) Mangin; grandchildren, Coralee Ann Davidson and Damon Alexander Davidson; as well as Sharon Chandler and her daughter Dianna McNutt and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, Fred Mangin.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Shawn proudly celebrated many years of sobriety after battling addiction and was passionate about working with and supporting others through their recovery. In honor of Shawn and his dedication, memorial contributions may be directed to Rapha Road at https://rapharoad.org/.
