Shawn L. Lackey

Shawn L. Lackey, 40 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021. He was born on March 5, 1981 in Indianapolis, IN to James and Lillian Lackey. Shawn was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything you put in front of him. He was very social, spending much of his time with his daughter and his friends. Shawn loved to watch and play football.

Shawn is survived by his daughter, Katie Lackey; father, James (Rita Merkley) Lackey; nephews, Jacob Lackey, and Dakotae Kieninger; several cousins; and many aunts and uncles. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Lilian lackey; brother, James Scott Lackey; and sister, Amber Lackey.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229), where a funeral service will begin at noon.
