Shawn Christopher Hoch

Shawn C. Hoch, 34, Indianapolis, died at 8:00 a.m., December 24, 2012 at Indianapolis, Indiana. Born 12 May 1978 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Brenda Hoch and Victor Hoch. He married Adriana Hoch on 2 August 2003 in Boca del Río, Veracruz, Mexico. He attended primary and secondary school in Cass County, Indiana, graduating in 1996. He received a BS in Secondary English Education with a minor in teaching English as a New Language at Indiana University Bloomington in 2005; an MS in Geographic Information Science at IUPUI in 2008. He was a research associate at Children's Health Services Research, Department of Pediatrics, IU School of Medicine; also at The Polis Center. He enjoyed reading, listening to and collecting music, travel, genealogy, and spending time with family. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. He is survived by wife, Adriana, son, Julian, daughter, Sara; father, Victor Hoch, Kokomo; biological parents Mary Leming and Richard Trent II, both of Lafayette; biological siblings Gabrielle Leming, Chicago, Illinois; Jesse Trent, Indianapolis; Zach Trent, Battle Ground; Richard Trent III, Boulder, Colorado. Funeral mass will be Monday, December 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, Indianapolis. Friends may attend a wake and viewing on the previous day from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Monica.
